The Story

Where do I even begin? I suppose at the very beginning. Olivia was our very first summer intern from Kent Fashion School back in 2020. Her internship was mostly remote, but our whole team just instantly fell in love with her. She stayed on with us part time after her internship, mostly styling maids and moms, but she quickly found her way over to bridal when we launched in ‘21.

 

In Summer ‘22 as we were sunsetting our bridesmaid shop, we styled packs of 10 sample bridesmaids dresses for brides to purchase at a steep discount for their girls. Olivia was the total queen of those packs. Of course, the very first pack she gathered was inspo for her own wedding. She thought a ring might be coming soon. We called it PACK Olivia, and sure enough, she snagged it the moment she said YES! Followed by styling her mom and MIL, Olivia officially claimed our very last #GildedTribe.

 

One of the dresses from our OG bridal collection had been on her wish list since the moment it came into the shop. I’m pretty certain she tried it on as soon as we got it. So when it was time to get her out to Granville, we knew all along which dress she would pick. Sure enough, she found herself a little FIRST DRESS MAGIC.

It was such a treat to be with her step-by-step through her planning process. From helping her design an absolutely fabulous custom veil to watching Mary Ellen remake her mom’s dress into her rehearsal dinner dress to styling her wedding day, I mean, she really did it all and then some! She is such a gem and means so much to the Gilded Social family, I consider it one of my tippy top Gilded Social highlights to have worked with her every step of the way.

“Whether you are booking Tanya for wedding day styling or an appointment at Gilded Social to find your dream dress, you will be in good hands. The one-on-one approach you get from the start makes it unlike any else. Tanya reached out and had me send her dresses I was interested in trying on. She knew which one had been my absolute favorite so we tried that dress on FIRST and sure enough it was the winner! I love that Tanya stands behind trying on the favorite/top pick dress first. We continued to try on dresses and I even chose a second one for my reception.

 

At Gilded Social, your opportunities for customization are endless. Depending on the designer, you are able to customize and make the dress fit your exact vision, before you even step into alterations! We did custom sizing, which makes the dress fit better from top to bottom. My veil was completely customized. We added a blusher and ordered extra lace that Mary Ellen added in alterations. It felt amazing to have a hand in that process.

 

Now after having such an amazing dress appointment experience I knew I had to book Tanya’s wedding day styling services. I can't stress this enough, she saved the day SO many times! I had hired a wedding planner, and having Tanya was still absolutely necessary! She communicated well with all vendors, making the experience ahead of time super simple.

 

Tanya arrived the morning of the wedding to steam and prep all dresses. She had kept my 2 dresses stored because I did not have any room to store them myself. She brought two mannequins to display my dresses on for photos which was absolutely amazing to see! She went with us to the first look to help with my veil, she had everything to help in emergencies (fashion tape, wipes, deodorant, mints, you name it). She helped the entire wedding party with their dresses/suits, told the groomsmen which button to have undone, etc. Basically everything you do not want to think of/stress about as a bride, she had covered! The wedding day would not go as smooth as it did without Tanya. I truly cannot express how amazing of a job she did at my wedding. If you made it this far, you might as well just book her!!”
