The Story

Leslie booked an appointment to shop for little white, bridesmaids, and flower girl dresses at our old Columbus shop and mentioned she was interested in our Wedding Day Dressing & Detailing Service in her request. Though Erin was hosting all of our social appointments since I was at the Granville shop on weekends now, this was one I was NOT going to miss.

Our time together couldn’t have been better. We found the perfect LWD for her engagement photos, figured out dresses for EVERYone else in the bridal party, and locked in the date for me to dress her on her wedding day ~ 10/14/2022 ~ which I’ll remember forever because we share the same anniversary.

It wasn’t just that day that made our connection so special. That was just the beginning. What I cherished most about working with Leslie was that she really leaned on me as her fashion consultant throughout her wedding planning and through all those moments together, we became fast friends long before the big day.

From practicing boob tape before the wedding to lending my own wedding shrug for a chill in the air during photos to talking through dress regret, Leslie and I became quite a team. Honestly, at that point, it just felt like I was there for my best gal on her wedding day, not a moment of which felt like work. When she had a Catholic ceremony months later, I offered to steam her gown onsite for FREE, just so we could hang. Mark Twain once said, “Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day again.” Leslie helped me find that place.

Leslie told me later that she found us through The Scout Guide, but a past bride had recommended she learn about our dressing service. Lauren told her she wished she would have had me there for her wedding! Well, good lord, I may just be in a permanent state of tears after hearing that!

Thank you, Leslie, for your friendship and support and becoming the Ultimate ULTIMATE Gilded Bride. If I could have more #GildedBrides, just like you, my friend, well then, I may never work again. Can you get married every year?

The Review

“I truly cannot imagine getting married without Tanya and Gilded Social by my side. I used Gilded Social for bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, day-of detailing, little white dress needs, and wedding dress preservation and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY.

The Gilded Social team helped my bridesmaids (12 of them across 4 states) order their chosen dresses in the appropriate sizes. Meanwhile, Tanya spent time on the phone with me reassuring me during a moment of “dress regret”, walked me through the best way to apply bust tape for my dress shape (and let me come into the shop so she could practice for the big day), collected items to bring to my wedding so I would have a few less things to remember, and hooked me up with stunning little white dresses for my bridal events.

On my wedding day (also her own wedding anniversary!) Tanya did a superhuman amount of work. She steamed my wedding dress, my cathedral length veil, 12 bridesmaid dresses, 4 flower girl dresses, MOB’s dress, fixed a tuxedo mishap, placed a bunch of sentimental items so I wouldn’t have to remember, taped my bust into my wedding dress, made sure my dress and veil looked perfect in all my photos, held my bouquet when it got heavy, among a trillion other things. Without having to do those things, me and my bridal party were able to enjoy each others company and bask in the joy of our day!”
